Notes

'Pumila' uruguayan pampas grass (Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila') is a grass for borders, cut flowers, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows fast and forms an arching, evergreen clump. Creamy white plumes appear in summer and last into winter, and birds visit the plant.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Rose of sharon, and Virginia spiderwort.
