Notes

'Red Guard' daffodil (Narcissus 'Red Guard') is a bulb for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The flowers are fragrant, with apricot yellow petals suffused with red and a small, bright orange cup flushed red. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Red Charm peony, Obsidian coral bells, and Big bluestem.
