Notes

'Red Charm' peony (Paeonia 'Red Charm') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it, and the red blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Keep it away from dogs and cats, since it is toxic to both.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Dittany, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Stargazer lily.
