Notes

Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) is a tree for low maintenance, winter interest, and rain garden use. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 3 to 5 feet a year when young, and it has no serious disease or insect problems. Give it plenty of room to rise and spread. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Loblolly pine, Inkberry, Ostrich fern, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
