Notes

Loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) is a tree for privacy screens, woodland gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and gives birds and small mammals cover, nesting sites, and seeds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Extra moisture and richer soil help it grow even faster.

Pairs well with River birch, Beautyberry, and Switchgrass.
