Notes
'Rio Red' 1 gallon (Citrus 'Rio Red') is a grapefruit tree for the food garden, grown for juice and fresh eating. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. It bears orange-sized grapefruits with reddish-orange flesh and a yellow rind flushed with salmon. Crops are medium to heavy.
Pairs well with Hass avocado, Tuscan Blue rosemary, and Natchez crape myrtle.
