Notes

Japanese aralia (Fatsia japonica) is a shrub for specimen planting, shade gardens, privacy screens, and foundation beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen and tolerates drought and salt. Creamy white flowers open in early to late autumn and bring in bees.

Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Azalea, Sedge, and Bloodroot.
