Notes

'Robert Swanson' lily (Lilium 'Robert Swanson') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Yellow-orange flowers open from early to late summer on stems about 4 to 5 feet tall, and each petal has a red flame. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the slightly fragrant blooms. Robert Griesbach bred it.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Ornamental onion, and Pink Hawaiian Coral peony.
