Notes

'Rogers' bottlebrush buckeye (Aesculus parviflora 'Rogers') is a shrub for specimen use, hedges, shade gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It blooms from early to late summer, and the flowers draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. The leaves also show fall color.

Pairs well with Royal fern, Solomon's seal, and Swamp azalea.
