Notes

Buckeye (Aesculus woerlitzensis) is a tree for use as a specimen in a large garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It grows 10 to 20 feet tall and wide, so give it plenty of room to spread. Red to orange-red flowers open in mid to late spring and make a bold show on bare branches.

Pairs well with Cherry plum, Contorta eastern white pine, and Cotoneaster.
