Notes

Rosemary barberry (Berberis stenophylla) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is evergreen, fragrant, and tolerant of drought and salt, and birds visit it. Yellow flowers appear in spring. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Fragrant tea olive, Ruby loropetalum, and Fountain grass.
