Notes

'Ruby' cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera 'Ruby') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant white flowers open from early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. The dense tree grows fast, and its fruit is the largest of any Mirabelle.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Ornamental onion, and Arrowwood viburnum.
