Notes

'Rudolph' crabapple (Malus 'Rudolph') is a tree for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pink flowers open from early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It also tolerates drought. F.L. Skinner bred it in 1954.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Gaura, Red-hot poker, and Butterfly bush.
