Notes

Rupturewort (Herniaria glabra) is a perennial for ground cover and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen and tolerates drought. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plants spread 12 to 24 inches, so give them room.

Pairs well with Daffodil, Ornamental onion, Bloodgood Japanese maple, and Tiger lily.
