Notes
Senita cactus (Lophocereus schottii) is a succulent for borders, low maintenance gardens, and xeriscapes. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It is evergreen and drought tolerant, and it can reach over 10 feet tall.
Pairs well with American century plant, Texas mountain laurel, and Hummingbird sage.
