Notes
'Shamouti' 1 gallon (Citrus 'Shamouti') is a fruit tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. The orange is medium to large and oblong, with a thick, easy-to-peel rind and few seeds. The flavor is sweet, and the tree blooms with white to cream flowers in spring and summer.
Pairs well with Hass avocado, Hachiya persimmon, Angelonia, and Lemon grass.
