Notes
Shiny xylosma (Xylosma congestum) is an evergreen shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It grows 8 to 12 feet tall and wide, so give it room when you plant a hedge. Small cream blooms appear on its glossy evergreen foliage. The dense growth makes it a good choice for a screen or a tall border.
Pairs well with Star jasmine, Loquat, Texas mountain laurel, and Gerbera daisy.
