Notes

'Shiryukyo' yellow flag (Iris pseudata 'Shiryukyo') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late summer. It grows about 35 to 59 inches tall and 35 to 47 inches wide, so give it room. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Astilbe, Alexander loosestrife, and Scorpion spotted beebalm.
