Notes

'Shogetsu' cherry (Prunus 'Shogetsu') is a tree for borders and specimen planting, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows 15 to 20 feet tall and can spread wider than it is tall. Bees and birds visit it, and it grows in acid, alkaline, or neutral soil.

Pairs well with Common snowdrop, Winter aconite, Ivy-leaved cyclamen, and Fountain grass.
