Notes
Showy goldeneye (Heliomeris multiflora) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Yellow flowers appear from early to late summer and again from early to late autumn, and butterflies and birds visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Blue grama, White sagebrush, Prairie verbena, and Nodding onion.
