Notes

Prairie verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Round clusters of pink to lilac-purple flowers sit above finely divided leaves. Deer tend to pass it by. New flowers keep forming as the stems grow, so butterflies can visit the blooms for a long season.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Gaura, and Blue sage.
