Notes

'Silver Frost' lavender (Lavandula 'Silver Frost') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Its silvery-grey foliage forms a neat mound, and dark purple flowers open from early to late summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms, and Van Hevelingen bred it in Oregon.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Blue fescue, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
