Notes

Snow in summer (Cerastium tomentosum) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. Its evergreen gray and silver leaves carpet the ground, and white flowers open in spring and summer to draw bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Hidcote lavender, Creeping thyme, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
