Notes
'Soft Serve Gold' sawara cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Soft Serve Gold') is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows at a moderate rate with an open habit. Plants can reach about 71 to 122 inches tall and wide, so give it room. It also tolerates drought once established.
Pairs well with Hicksii yew, Winterberry, Lenten rose, and Prairie dropseed.
