'Som Saa' mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata 'Som Saa') is a fruit tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. It is a Thai mandarin grown as a condiment fruit for its mix of sweet and bitter flavor. White flowers open in spring and again in summer.
