Notes
'Speckled Hound' pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima 'Speckled Hound') is a vegetable for the food garden. It is typically grown as an annual. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fruit is orange with green splotches. The climbing vines grow at a rapid pace and bloom in orange, yellow, and green from early to late summer.
Pairs well with Navy bean, Orange Hat Tomato tomato, and Lime basil.
