Notes

'Spicy Bush' basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Spicy Bush') is an herb for borders, containers, and food gardens. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The small, dome-shaped plants have small leaves, a fragrant scent, and a rapid growth rate, and they attract butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Curly parsley, Habanero habanero pepper, and Anouk Spanish lavender.
