Notes
'Star' phlox (Phlox 'Star') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its fragrant blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It tolerates drought and blooms in spring, summer, and autumn.
Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Eastern columbine.
