Notes

'Superbo' basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Superbo') is an herb for food gardens, containers, and borders. It is typically grown as an annual. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. This improved strain of standard Genovese basil is fragrant and grows fast to 24 to 30 inches tall. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with San Marzano tomato, Buttercrunch lettuce, and Anouk Spanish lavender.
