Notes
Tall bellflower (Campanulastrum americanum) is an annual for low maintenance gardens, naturalized areas, and annual beds. This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 35 to 71 inches tall and bears lavender-blue flowers from early to late summer. The flowers form a long, spike-like cluster along the upper stem. Despite the name, they are usually flat instead of bell-shaped. Hummingbirds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Wild geranium, and Ostrich fern.
