Notes

Texas rock rose (Pavonia lasiopetala) is a shrub for borders, low maintenance gardens, and woodland edges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Pink hibiscus-like flowers with a yellow center appear from spring to fall. Hummingbirds and butterflies visit them for nectar.

Pairs well with Autumn sage, Cenizo, Little bluestem, and Blackfoot daisy.
