Notes

Autumn sage (Salvia greggii) is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Flowers appear from spring to frost, and they draw hummingbirds and bees. The stems are brittle, so keep it away from heavy foot traffic.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Lanceleaf coreopsis, Magnus coneflower, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
