Notes

Thalia (Thalia dealbata) is a perennial for rain gardens, specimen planting, and accent use. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and moist to wet, loamy or clay soil. Small purple flowers rise on tall stalks above the broad leaves, which wear a white powdery coating. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It is the larval food plant for the Brazilian Skipper butterfly.

Pairs well with Hardy hibiscus, Buttonbush, and Feather reed grass.
