Notes

'Thunderchild' crabapple (Malus 'Thunderchild') is a tree for borders, pollinator gardens, and low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 15 to 20 feet tall and spreads 10 to 15 feet wide. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and the fragrant blooms add scent to the garden.

Pairs well with Paprika yarrow, Nodding onion, and Perennial candytuft.
