Notes

'Tomato Soup' coneflower (Echinacea 'Tomato Soup') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide, with tomato-red petals around a yellow-brown cone. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the fragrant blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Nodding onion, Sedge, and Virginia rose.
