Notes

'Variegatus' aralia (Eleutherococcus sieboldianus 'Variegatus') is a shrub for hedges and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and dry to average soil. It grows 72 to 96 inches tall and wide, so give it room. Greenish white flowers open in late spring and early summer. It is also drought tolerant once settled in.

Pairs well with Lady in Red lady fern, Interrupted fern, Bergenia, and Deciduous azalea.
