Notes

'Variegatus' mock orange (Philadelphus coronarius 'Variegatus') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The arching branches reach about 47 to 71 inches tall and wide, and the blooms are fragrant. It is also drought tolerant. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Sarastro bellflower, Hardy geranium, and Bouquet peony.
