Notes
'Variegatus' winter creeper (Euonymus fortunei 'Variegatus') is a groundcover for covering bare ground. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is evergreen, grows rapidly, and tolerates salt. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Greenish white flowers appear from early to late summer and attract bees and birds.
Pairs well with Autumn fern, Mountain laurel, and Contorta eastern white pine.
