Notes

'Versailles Red' cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus 'Versailles Red') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Developed especially for cutting, it bears red, magenta, and burgundy blooms that draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows fast and reaches 40 to 48 inches tall.

Pairs well with Spitfire nasturtium, Red fescue, and Tidal Wave Cherry petunia.
