Notes
Whisk fern (Psilotum nudum) is a fern for containers, low maintenance gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil. It stays evergreen and grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. The upright green stems look like a small whisk broom, so it makes an unusual accent.
Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Star jasmine, and Bluebell.
