Notes

White mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa) is a tree for hedges and low maintenance landscapes. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and moist to wet, sandy or loamy soil. Its roots bind soil well and can help slow canal bank erosion. It handles salt and takes well to trimming and shaping.

Pairs well with Buttonwood, Florida swamp lily, and Laurel oak.
