Notes

'Winter Beauty' common dogwood (Cornus sanguinea 'Winter Beauty') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It has fragrant flowers from spring into early summer, and bees and birds visit it. It also gives fall color.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, False indigo, and Ornamental onion.
