'Anny' common dogwood (Cornus sanguinea 'Anny') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows upright to about 35 to 47 inches tall and wide at a moderate pace. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
