Notes

Winter daffodil (Sternbergia lutea) is a bulb for borders, low maintenance gardens, and xeriscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. Large, bright yellow, crocus-like flowers open in early to late autumn. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The glossy leaves stay green through winter and die back before summer.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Lemon thyme, and Fountain grass.
