Notes

Winter squash (Cucurbita argyrosperma) is a vegetable for the food garden and the annual bed. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It climbs and grows fast, and the vines can spread 120 to 180 inches. Yellow to orange flowers open from early to late summer.

Pairs well with Cantaloupe, Roulette habanero pepper, and Pesto Perpetuo basil.
