Notes
Yellowwood (Cladrastis wilsonii) is a tree for specimen planting and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It bears fragrant white flowers in late spring and early summer. It also offers fall color, so the tree has interest after the flowers fade. Give it plenty of room, because it grows into a large tree with a wide spread.
Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Coralbells, and Chinese pistache.
