Notes

'Zhuzhou Fuchsia' Chinese fringe-flower (Loropetalum chinense 'Zhuzhou Fuchsia') is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deep pink, fragrant flowers open from early to late spring on arching, evergreen branches. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Give it plenty of room, since it can reach 8 to 12 feet tall.

Pairs well with Azalea, Southern magnolia, and June hosta.
