Notes

Lechuguilla (Agave lechuguilla) is a succulent for rock gardens and dry, sunny spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. The yellow-green rosettes spread by suckering, and each thick leaf ends in a strong spine. Plant it away from paths. After many years, a tall flower stalk rises from the center, and the plant dies after it sets fruit.

Pairs well with Northwind switchgrass, Chia, and Texas bluebonnet.
