Notes

Ageratum (Ageratum houstonianum) is an annual for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Medium blue flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Snapdragon, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Silver feather grass.

Native range

North America and Central America.
