Notes

'American Revolution' daylily (Hemerocallis 'American Revolution') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It is drought tolerant and fragrant, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Plants reach 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, David garden phlox, and Black-eyed Susan.
